Falmouth Poetry Group was founded thirty years ago, by Penelope Shuttle and the late Peter Redgrove. It meets fortnightly for critical workshops, and acts as a discussion forum for work-in-progress. We still follow the workshop method used by The Group founded by Philip Hobsbaum, of which Redgrove was a founder member.

FPG endures as a dynamic and influential source of inspiration and encouragement to poets in Cornwall, and has an excellent record of achievement. When funds allow, we run readings, creative workshops and other poetry events, and publish a quaterly newsletter featuring poems by members.

We meet on the 2nd of the month, between 7:00pm and 9:00pm in Falmouth Library. New members are welcome to come and "try it out" before joining.

Samples from a CD of poetry from Les Merton's new beat-inspired collection, "Inspired by Outlaws", set to music by the Moontones, is available for download from CD Baby. Alternatively, email Les Merton for further details...

Victoria Field's second collection, containing poems drawing on experiences during her Truro Cathedral residency, is now available from Fal Publications or Truro Cathedral...
